Tabular AluminaSTA

Description:

STA is a sintered alumina which is produced by pelletizing high purity calcined alumina without the use of additives and firing them in Shaft Kiln of a temperature at about 1,900℃ near the melting point of alumina. The alumina has been thoroughly densified and has well developed into alpha alumina crystals(α-Al2O3). STA is composed of tablet shaped crystals with a median range of 30 to 300microns. STA is widely used a refractory material due to its excellent thermal shock rseistance and excellent wear resistance.

Properties:

  • High chemical purity and mechanical strength
  • Great thermal shock resistance
  • Excellent dielectric properties
  • Low shrinkage characteristics
  • Good resistance to acid and alkali corrosion
  • Extremely high hardness and high abrasion resistance
